Cat Prince (b. 1991) is a Montreal-based visual and tattoo artist of Indonesian and French-Québécois heritage. She holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing from Concordia University. Working primarily through surreal figurative painting, her practice explores the body as both subject and object-a site of beauty, desire, vulnerability, transformation, and power. Drawing from femininity, nightlife, dolls, manga, and contemporary visual culture, Prince creates uncanny figures and scenes that blur innocence and sexuality while examining identity, challenging the male gaze and finding empowerment. Her work has been exhibited throughout Montreal, including her 2024 solo exhibition “Doll Parts” at Espace Loulou. In 2026, she completed the Atelier AIR residency at Château de Cerisay in France.
